Southampton Beer Festival 2003
The 2003 festival was a great success!
This year's festival was held from 5th to 7th June 2003. The festival was a
great success - so much so that tickets actually sold out before we opened.
This is the first time in the festival's history that this has happened.
We hope that this will encourage people to buy
tickets a little earlier next year (they normally go on sale approximately
8 weeks before the festival).
The reason why we had to limit numbers through the door is in order that we
didn't run out of beer. We had a meeting a couple of weeks after the
festival to discuss how it went and how we could improve the festival for
next year. We've already got a number of ideas as to how we can have more
beer at the festival, despite being unable to expand the existing bar
areas.
We'd also like to thank our customers who donated their spare beer tokens to
this year's charity, instead of obtaining a refund. Their generosity generated
a massive £692.20 for the
Southampton Talking Echo.
