Southern Hampshire CAMRA Pub of the Year 2024 award presentation
An April Tuesday saw a local CAMRA social at the Park Inn in Shirley, Southampton. The main event was the presentation of Southern Hampshire CAMRA's Pub of the Year 2024 award to the Park Inn. Pictured are Branch Chairman Norman Clinnick presenting the award to publicans Andy and Ceri Madsen. Congratulations to Andy & Ceri for running such a fine pub.The Park Inn now goes forward to the Wessex Regional Pub of the Year competition.

Park Inn, Shirley is Southern Hampshire CAMRA Pub of the Year 2024
We're delighted to announce our local branch's Pub of the Year 2024. This year's winner is Park Inn in Carlisle Road, Shirley, Southampton.
The finalist pubs were each visited by four volunteer judges, who assessed them against CAMRA's national Pub of the Year scoring criteria (which will also be used in the regional and national competitions). The four finalists, selected by CAMRA members before the judging, also included: the Freemantle Arms, Southampton; Olaf's Tun, Southampton and Steam Town, Eastleigh. A formal presentation of this award will be announced in due course.

Flower Pots receives regional Champion Beer of Britain award
David Pritchard (Flower Pots BLO) presented Stuart Poulter, head drayman of Flower Pots Brewery, a certificate for Pots Bitter for winning Silver in the Session Bitter Category of the London & South East CAMRA Regional Champion Beer of Britain 2023. Flower Pots is the largest independent brewery in Hampshire and has won numerous awards for its beers.
